Captain Kailie J. Benson, USCG (Ret.), originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, is known throughout Hull and the South Shore for her caring, thoughtful leadership and the friendships she’s built here. As the former Commander of U.S. Coast Guard Sector Boston, she understands Hull’s coastline deeply. Kailie recommended that HullNext feature the Boston Harbor Islands, which align closely with Hull’s identity and daily life on the water, and encouraged adding local webcams for real‑time visibility into shoreline conditions. Her insight strengthens HullNext’s mission to deliver practical, trusted, community‑driven information for everyone who loves our coastline.

Jennifer Whelan is a Hull native and Village resident—a natural‑light portrait photographer capturing families, seniors, headshots, small events, and local scenes. She helped lead the Front Steps Project, raising over $14,000 for Wellspring, and her work has appeared in regional publications. Jennifer is generously contributing her amazing work to HullNext across the platform. She’s partnering with HullNext to showcase Hull’s people, places, and everyday beauty.

Steven M. Greenberg is a relentless advocate for Hull. He brings decades of community leadership to the town, lives at the family cottage on Nantasket Beach, and is passionate about Hull’s history, its people, and preserving its unique character. His past includes public service and leadership roles, including Peace Corps work in Armenia and executive director positions at the Vilna Shul and Temple Beth Zion in Brookline. He was born and raised in Natick, MA and has spent fifty years serving communities across Greater Boston.

Marianne F. Buckley Curran is a Hull‑based artist who shares her work with HullNext to celebrate the town's coastal light, history, and everyday magic. Irwin Nesoff is an active member of the Hull community, drawing on years of experience in local government and nonprofit leadership. Bart Blumberg brings his creative, fine‑art approach to photography to HullNext, partnering with us to showcase the beauty of Hull through his images. Ronnie Lees founded and owns Northeast Surfing at Nantasket Beach. What he really does is get people outside and into the water, and nothing beats watching a kid stand up on a wave for the first time. That is what his lessons and camps are for. He skis, and he wrote the novel Sins of the Mind.

Ronnie and HullNext share one goal: more people outside, on the water and on the mountain, enjoying where they live. His live surf cams bring the beach to our beach pages, and our surfing page grew out of working together. Now we are building Yupit together, an app where surfers and skiers follow their spots, check the conditions and live cams, and share the day with the people who are out there.
