Description

Irena & Martin Davy

We relocated to Hull from Boston in 2018 after exploring and living in many parts of the USA and the world. Irena is a native of Georgia (the country) and Martin is from the UK, and we’ve lived in the United States for over 30 years. Recognizing the need for a centralized hub of information about our new hometown, we embarked on creating HullNext. With our background in technology, we built this platform to give back to the community that welcomed us home and help others discover the remarkable treasures that make Hull special.

Marianne F. Buckley Curran

Marianne F. Buckley Curran is a Hull‑based artist whose work is shaped by a deeply sensory relationship with the coast—the salt air, ocean light, wind, and the sound of surf all inform her voice. She creates primarily on site with real‑life models, props, and nature, finishing select pieces in the studio from drawings and reference photos. She works in watercolor, oils, and acrylics, often letting one medium guide another (for example, an on‑site watercolor study informing a later oil painting).
