45th Annual Snow Row!
45th Annual Snow Row! Date & Time: March 7, 2026 at 12:00 PM Location: Windmill Point Boathouse 185 Main St., Hull, MA If you’re signing up a single boat for a one-time entry, simply complete the registration steps once, and you’re all set. Get ready to hit the water and experience the excitement of Snow Row! Registering multiple boats for the 45th Annual Snow Row? No problem! Simply complete the registration process for each boat individually. That means once you’ve finished signing up for one, return to this page and go through the simple process again to register the next boat. This year’s race, officially titled Snow Row 250 — Pulling Together Since 1776 , will serve as the first major public event of Hull’s commemoration of 250 years of American independence and coastal service. The beloved winter rowing tradition will feature its signature LeMans-style beach start, a 3¾-mile triangular course , and, for 2026 only, a dramatic ceremonial cannon start and appearance by the Hingham Militia , bringing Revolutionary-era pageantry to the shoreline. “For 45 years, Snow Row has embodied everything Hull stands for — grit, teamwork, and maritime courage,” said Michael McGurl, Executive Director at the Hull Lifesaving Museum. “Snow Row 250 gives us a way to honor that tradition while launching Hull’s 250th Anniversary in a way that is active, inclusive, and uniquely our own.” Teams will row from Windmill Point along a historic stretch of Hull’s shoreline, the same waters that have been guarded, worked, and defended since the 18th century. Rowers are invited — though not required — to add a touch of Revolutionary-era flair , such as tricorn hats, sailor sashes, or colonial-inspired gear, adding color and personality to the race while keeping the focus on competition and seamanship. In addition to traditional race awards, Snow Row 250 will introduce special honors, including the Spirit of ’76 Award , the Revolutionary Crew Award , and the Hull Heritage Award , recognizing teams that best capture the energy, creativity, and community pride of this milestone year. Spectators can follow the action from shore or aboard the popular Snow Row Spectator Boat , which offers a front-row seat to the wild and woolly winter race. Boarding takes place at Pemberton Pier 10:30 – 11:45. Tickets $30 per person online and on sale at Pemberton Pier on race day . Snow Row 250 also reflects the Hull Lifesaving Museum’s enduring mission: “Saving Lives Then ~ Changing Lives Now.” From Revolutionary-era coastal defense to modern maritime education, the Museum continues to carry forward Hull’s legacy of courage and service. Sangha Spring Workshop
Sangha Spring Workshop Date: Wednesdays, April 1 – May 6, 2026 Time: 7:00 – 8:00 pm (with an optional meditation session following) We will be exploring Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind through a mindfulness lens, zooming out over 70,000 years of human history to better understand how the human mind evolved and why we think and behave the way we do. Together, we’ll reflect on how many of our fears, stories, and identities are not personal flaws, but inherited survival strategies shaped by beliefs, narratives, and social conditioning—and how awareness helps us step out of automatic patterns. This is not a traditional book club focused on facts, but a reflective inquiry into what it means to be human, how consciousness developed, and how mindfulness can help us live more wisely within this ongoing process. Sean’s workshops are easy, fun, and welcoming to all—no prior experience required, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see yourself with fresh eyes.
