Will It Be You? A Dance Song for Whales and Humans
Join us on Spectacle Island for a day of art, reflection, and shoreline stewardship, inspired by the deep histories of communal fishing and gathering by the Mashpee Wampanoag, Aquinnah Wampanoag, Nipmuc, and Massachusett peoples, who continue to sustain relationships with these waters. Together, we’ll create small offerings, learn practices for caring for coastlines, and participate in a meditative dance song for whales and humans whose songs are increasingly disrupted by starvation and human-caused ecological crises. Through movement, music, and shared time by the sea, we’ll explore how to shore up food sovereignty for one another—and for the living beings with whom we share these waters.

Every year Hull Pride takes an informal break after our June celebration and then regroups in September.During our first meeting back, we hold an “open meeting” where anyone in the community can join us, learn a bit about our plans and mission and then see if they want to join us in a more meaningful way.Each year, we get a few new people who join our board, which meets on a monthly basis via hybrid in-person and Zoom. Sangha Fall Workshop
Sangha Fall Workshop Date: Wednesdays, September 16 – October 28, 2026 Time: 7:00 – 8:00 pm (with an optional meditation session following) Admission: $35 This fall, the Lifesaving Sangha explores Matt Haig’s The Midnight Library , a thought-provoking story about regret, possibility, happiness, and what makes a life worth living. Through conversation and mindfulness, we’ll consider themes of impermanence, attachment, gratitude, compassion, and learning to fully embrace the life we have. No prior experience with Buddhism or mindfulness is needed—just come as you are, ready to read, reflect, and explore. This is not a traditional book club focused on facts, but a reflective inquiry into what it means to be human, how consciousness developed, and how mindfulness can help us live more wisely within this ongoing process. Sean’s workshops are easy, fun, and welcoming to all—no prior experience required, just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to see yourself with fresh eyes.
