Change of Select Board Meeting Time

The Select Board will be meeting at 6:30PM and monthly office hours will be scheduled from 6:00-6:30 before the first Select Board meeting of each month.

Two Select Board members will be available at town hall, monthly to meet with residents to discuss issues of concern. Please be advised these are listening sessions, individual Board members cannot make decisions on behalf of the Select Board.

Federal cuts in food stamps is resulting in a rise in hunger and increased demand on local food banks. We can help our neighbors experiencing food insecurity by donating to Wellspring's Food Panntry "Aunt Dot's Kitichen."

Aunt Dot’s Kitchen, supplies fresh and non-perishable food, as well as basic personal care items to those experiencing food insecurity. t

Pantry Hours are by appointment only

*Transportation to and from the pantry is available on Mondays and home delivery is available on Fridays.

Wellspring's Mobile Kitchen brings thepantry directly to those who need it regardless of geographic location. Generous donations from individuals and area houses of worship, civic groups, schools and area businesses greatly contribute to Wellspring’s steadfast efforts to satisfy the ever-growing demand for this service. Thanks to these partnerships and donations, Aunt Dot’s Kitchen is able to provide more than 120,000 meals each year to neighbors in need.

Most needed Pantry Items:

Canned and boxed meals, stews, soups, chili, tuna, canned chicken, ham and spam, vegetables, mac and cheeses, tomato sauces, pasta, rice, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, juice, cooking oil, maple syrup, condiments, coffee

Shampoo & conditioner, Toothpaste & toothbrushes, Soap, Toilet paper, Laundry detergent, Dish detergent, Disposable razors, Shaving cream.

Fresh and Organic Produce

Fresh and organic produce is donated through food rescue partnerships with local grocery stores and Holly Hill Farm in Cohasset. We grow our own fresh produce right on-site in Judy’s Garden with help from the experts at Holly Hill Farm.

Water Conservation Restrictions

Current Status:

Level 2 – Significant Drought

Lawn Irrigation Prohibited / Essential Hand Held Watering Allowed

Effective June 26, 2026, the Weir River Water System is moving to a Level 2 Water Conservation Plan. 

All non-essential outdoor usage is prohibited (lawn irrigation; washing vehicles, exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks; and, filling swimming pools). Hand held watering for gardens, landscape plantings and other essential needs is allowed.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support while we continue to monitor well production and groundwater levels during these drought conditions. It is important to maintain adequate tank levels for both potable drinking water and fire protection for our communities. 

Violations and fines are being enforced. 

• First Violation – Written Notice and $50.00 fine
• Second Violation – Written Notice and $100.00 fine
• Subsequent Violations – Termination of service, $100.00 fine, reactivation fees

Hull Lifesaving Museum to open rare artifacts to the public

Beginning September 24th, and the third Thursday of each month, the public will have the opportunity to step behind scenes at the museum for an exclusive look inside the archives.Each month for a $20 admission, the public will have a chance to see a new selection of rare artifacts, documents, photographs, and treasures - many never before seen in public. The 714 bus schedules will be adjusted beginning September 6 to create improved connections to the 220 bus in Hingham, the Hull ferry, and to the Greenbush commuter station. COMMUNITY SUPPORTS

The Nantasket-Hull Rotary’s Stretch Your Food Budget program invites Hull citizens to try the meal kits and weekly offerings by going to www.SYFB.space and sending a request for a delivery. All SYFB meal kit options are FREE. Orders must be received y by Friday night to ensure delivery on the next Tuesday!

South Shore Community Action Council has funding to provide emergency assistance for veterans on the South Shore who may have fallen behind on rent, mortgage, or other household bills. Veterans Voice and WATD Food Drive Thru. Open to all veterans, family and friends and the public. No registration necessary and no cost. The second Thursday of every month from 9:30-11:30, 130 Enterprise Drive in Marshfield, drive through and they will load up your vehicle.
