This monthly newsletter is designed to help keep the residents of Hull informed with the information you will need to become or remain an active and engaged community member.*


In addition to this newsletter, the town provides sources of information including the town web site and Facebook page.

Hull No Place for Hate Town Committee is cordially inviting you to participate in a townwide FOOD DRIVE as we commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; a day of Service and Remembrance on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Hull Lifesaving Museum.


This food drive benefitting the food pantry at Wellspring is being organized in memory of Dr. King's call to help others and to encourage the spirit of community service in our beautiful town. There will be a short program, information regarding community resources and light refreshments. 

Please bring all nonperishable food and personal care donations to the Hull Lifesaving Museum

DPW- 2026 Town- Wide Christmas Tree Collection

The Department of Public Works annual Christmas tree collection in Hull will begin on Monday, January 5, 2026. The following guidelines will be followed this year: 

• All trees must be at the side of the roadway by 7:00 a.m. during week of collection.

• All Metal and Ornaments must be removed from the tree. • No Wreaths of any kind will be collected.

 

The following dates for collections will be followed as closely as possible: 

Monday, January 5 - January 9, 2026 Pemberton to X Street 

Monday January 12 - January 16, 2026 X Street to A Street

Monday January 19- January 23, 2026 A Street to Monument Square 

Monday January 26- January 30, 2026 Whitehead Ave. to Wharf Ave. to Hingham/Cohasset line including Rockaway and Rockaway Annex. 


Weather conditions will play an important part in adhering to this schedule. Any delays caused by weather will result in an adjustment to the pick-up days. If you missed your Week of Collection residents may drop off trees at the Hull DPW, located at 9 Nantasket Avenue, between the hours of 8:00am and 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 8:00am and 11:30am on Friday. Please use caution, construction vehicles are frequently entering and exiting the stockyard area. 

MBTA Winter 2025 Service Changes to Bus # 714

the MBTA has announced Winter 2025 Service Changes to MBTA Bus # 714 effective Sunday, December 14, 2025. All weekend trips will be readjusted to connect with the 220 as the Hull Ferry Weekend service is suspended for the season

ANNUAL STREET LISTING/CENSUS

The Town of Hull mails out the Annual Street Listing Forms (Census) to each household every year. Residents are urged to review, update, sign and return them as soon as possible to the Town Clerk Office - even if all the information is correct. Please be sure to also report if you will be moving after January 1st. All occupants, including children, should be listed, although information obtained for residents under age 17 remains confidential.

According to state law, if you are a registered voter and you do not answer the census, you and every voter in your family will be made an INACTIVE voter. Such persons will only be eligible to vote after they fill out an “Affirmation of Current and Continuous Residence” the next time they come to vote. In that event, identification must be provided and must include the voter’s name and the address which he/she is registered to vote. Proper identification could include any of the following: a current and valid photo identification, current utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, government check, or other government document showing voter’s name and address.

Issues related to or other water emergencies should be directed to the 24 hour customer service number for the Weir River Water System at (877) 253-6665.

For Sewer Related Concerns

For issues related to sewer or those requiring immediate attention please contact the Sewer Department during business hours at (781) 925-1207 or after hours (781) 925-0906.
