A Street Pier to James Landing - Hull Harbor
Every summer, on the last Saturday in July, Hull continues a cherished tradition as the sun sets over Hull Bay. A thousand flares ignite along the shoreline, forming a glowing necklace of light that transforms the waterfront into a breathtaking spectacle. For 30 mesmerizing minutes, the flickering flames create a serene, almost otherworldly interlude. A lone bagpiper is rowed along the shore, his haunting melody completing this unforgettable moment. For 16 years, Illumination Night has been a beloved event. This year, the Hull Lifesaving Museum will once again light up the shore, inviting all to celebrate community, beauty, and maritime history.
Schedule:
5:00 PM Coast Guard City Commemoration, Hull Cemetery
6:00 PM Open House at Hull Lifesaving Museum
8:00 PM Forever Flare Ceremony at A Street Pier
8:30 PM Harbor Illumination!
